Brasil Island

The Isle of Brasil is a legendary island often mentioned in travel and maritime literature. It is supposed to be somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Ireland or Brittany.
The history of the Isle of Brasil dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was described as a mysterious and paradisiacal land. It appears in ancient accounts, notably in the Book of the Invasions of Ireland and navigational maps of the time.
Despite numerous speculations and attempts to locate it, Brasil Island has never been formally identified or discovered. It may well have been a figment of the imagination of sailors and storytellers of the time.
Some researchers have suggested that the legendary island could be linked to geological phenomena such as ephemeral sandbanks or islands that have since disappeared due to erosion.
