The world of eSailing is ready for another edition of the Nation's Cup, an offshore championship where the best nations compete on equal terms on Virtual Regatta Offshore, aboard legendary IMOCA boats.
Organized by World Sailing in partnership with Virtual Regatta, this unique competition brings together the top five eSailing federations of the moment: France, Italy, Germany, Poland and Switzerland.
On the program: three legs, a fierce battle between nations, and an opening to the general public. Who will be crowned best eSailing nation?
A new format: three legs, five competing nations
Each nation selects eight official players and fields four of them on each leg. These skippers will carry their country's colors, with a single objective: accumulate as many points as possible to take their nation to the top of the overall ranking.
📍 Leg 1 - Osaka (Japan) → Perth (Australia)
📅 Start date: 4 March (two-week race)
📍 Leg 2 – Brest (France) → Gdynia (Pologne)
📅 Start date: 26 March (ten-day race)
📍 Leg 3 – Syracuse (Italie) → Toulon (France)
📅 Start date: 15 April (final race over 3-4 days)
The choice of IMOCA boats for this edition adds a strategic and technical dimension. These iconic monohulls are fast but demanding, requiring fine-tuning and trajectory management. The skippers will have to master wind shifts, optimise their options and manage their endurance over long and demanding courses.
An elite challenge... but open to all!
While the Nation's Cup is first and foremost a competition between nations, the race is also open to all Virtual Regatta Offshore players.
Two rankings will be set up for the competition:
- Official ranking of nations For players selected by the national federations.
- General ranking open to all This is a great opportunity for amateur players to test their skills against the world's best
